Accurate Signing & Notary LLC
Terms of Service
Effective October 20, 2026
The terms that apply when you use our website or book notary and apostille services.
Agreement
These Terms of Service apply when you use accuratesigningservice.com or book or use services from Accurate Signing & Notary LLC ("we," "us"). By requesting or booking a service, you agree to these terms.
Our services
We are a Maryland notary public business. We provide mobile and in-person notarization, online (remote) notarization, loan signing services, and apostille facilitation, which means preparing, submitting, tracking and returning documents for government authentication. We do not issue apostilles ourselves; they are issued by the Maryland Secretary of State, the U.S. Department of State or another government office.
No legal advice
We are not attorneys, and we cannot give legal advice. We cannot tell you which document you need, what a document means, how to fill it out, or whether it meets a foreign country’s requirements. Please consult an attorney or the office requesting your document for those questions. Any general information on our website is not legal advice.
Notarization requirements
- Every signer must appear in person, or by live video for online notarizations, and present valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.
- Signers must be willing, aware of what they are signing, and able to communicate with the notary.
- Documents must be complete. We cannot notarize documents with blank spaces that should be filled in.
- We must refuse or stop a notarization if Maryland law requires it, for example if identity cannot be verified, a signer appears confused or pressured, or the document appears fraudulent. Fees for time and travel may still apply.
- Online notarization sessions are recorded and stored as Maryland law requires.
Apostille services
- You are responsible for providing the correct document in the form the issuing office requires, such as a certified copy rather than a photocopy.
- Processing times are set by government offices and carriers, not by us. Any timeframe we give is an estimate, and we are not responsible for government or shipping delays.
- We are not responsible if a foreign government, agency or institution rejects a document for reasons outside our control, including its own requirements or the content of the document.
- Order status shown on our website is updated as we complete each step and is provided for convenience.
Fees and payment
- Prices are shown on our website or in a written quote. Apostille quotes list our service fee separately from government fees.
- Payment is due as stated on your invoice. We begin apostille work after payment is received.
- Online payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms.
- Travel fees for mobile appointments are quoted before the appointment.
Cancellations and refunds
- You may cancel an appointment by contacting us before the scheduled time. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a travel or appointment fee.
- Government fees are non-refundable once your documents are submitted.
- If you cancel an apostille order before we begin work, we will refund your payment. After work has begun, service fees for completed steps are non-refundable.
Your responsibilities
You agree to give us accurate information, to provide documents you are legally entitled to have authenticated, and not to use our services for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as missed deadlines, travel costs or lost opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Maryland law.
Website use
Our website content is for general information and may change without notice. Links to other websites, such as Google, Calendly or Stripe, are provided for convenience, and those sites have their own terms and privacy policies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last changed. Terms in effect when you booked a service apply to that service.
